Job Responsibilities

As a Home Health Aide, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in clients’ health and well-being to the healthcare team.
• Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring adherence to care plans.
• Supporting clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
• Performing light housekeeping duties and meal preparation.
• Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Home Health Aide, you should meet the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a home health care setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
