Position Overview
The part-time QS role plays an integral part in our project teams, assisting in managing all aspects of the cost-related elements of our projects. This position is perfect for someone looking to utilize their skills in a flexible environment, offering both remote and onsite working options.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Assisting in the procurement process by preparing tender documentation.
- Analyzing costs and providing cost control and financial management support.
- Conducting site evaluations and assessments.
- Providing expert advice on matters concerning contract administration, variations, and claims.
- Collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of costs and project progress.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
