Your Role

As a Rail Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of rail projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and managing cost estimates for rail projects.
• Assessing and analyzing project risks and opportunities.
• Preparing tender documents, contract documents, and bills of quantities.
• Conducting value engineering and cost-benefit analyses.
• Assisting with the procurement process and contract negotiations.
• Monitoring project progress and financial performance.
• Providing expert advice to clients and project teams on cost issues.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the rail sector.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of NEC forms of contract and standard methods of measurement (NRM).
