Key Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments in areas of organic and inorganic chemistry.
• Lead and manage research projects from conception through execution and reporting.
• Mentor junior chemists and lab technicians, providing guidance in experimental design and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other scientists, engineers, and product managers, to drive project goals.
• Develop and implement new analytical techniques and procedures.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this senior chemist job will possess the following qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field, with a focus on organic or inorganic chemistry.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a research and development environment.
• Strong understanding of chemical analysis techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, and IR spectroscopy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and quality assurance in a laboratory setting is a plus.
