Job Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow, you will engage in hands-on, supervised practice in various settings, including schools, clinics, and homes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the speech and language needs of clients.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Providing therapy sessions tailored to client goals, utilizing engaging and effective techniques.
- Documenting client progress and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying current with research in the field.
- Educating clients and families about communication disorders and therapy strategies.
- Adhering to ethical guidelines and standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Qualifications
To be considered for our Speech CFY Jobs, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state where you will be working.
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) eligibility.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload independently.
